Though we don't promise you'll see a ghost, you WILL get to walk the same streets where street walkers of yesterday met the cold hands of Jack the Strangler, hear how a jealous husband consigned his unfaithful wife to seek an embrace from the living, and how an otherwise benign ghost can show her violent side if you go where you're not supposed to go. These stories and more will make the evening one to remember as we peer beyond the veil of death in Denver's historic LoDo neighborhood. Are you brave enough to join us?
If the tour alone wasn't enough, it ends at Denver’s famous Wynkoop Brewery for some free beer samples.
Denver History Buff
Kevin used to be an English teacher for immigrants who had made their way to the Mile High city from all over the world. Oddly enough, no matter where they came from—Sudan, Romania, Korea, Russia or anywhere else—none of them wanted to go downtown. Thanks to its unfortunate portrayal in certain Hollywood movies, Kevin’s students all thought downtown Denver was way too dangerous, so he took it upon himself to prove that they could not only survive there, but also have a lot of fun.
Today, Kevin has made a career of teaching people about Denver, its architecture and its many historic landmarks. He may have taken a strange path to find his passion for history, but now he’s a total Denver know-it-all (don’t worry, he’s the good kind, not the annoying kind), and no one who attends one of his walking tours walks away without learning something new.
