Vincent van Gogh said, “I dream my painting and I paint my dream.” For this experience, you won’t paint your dream, exactly. Instead, you’ll paint your dream vacation. It can be a place you’ve visited or that you long to visit. Bring a photo with you and fine artist Pixie Glore, who has traveled the world painting exotic places and people, will teach you how to paint it in watercolor. She’ll also offer you a glass of wine (or two) to get the creative juices flowing.
Pixie spent a year in Provence in 2003 studying in the same places as the early impressionists -- Ceyzanne, Degas, Toulouse-Lautrec, Matisse, etc. Now she splits her time between Denver and Andalucia (in the south of Spain), where she paints portraits of its sleepy, whitewashed towns and villages. Her studio is filled with photographs and paintings of numerous trips she and her husband, Charlie, daughter Dawn and son Foster have made to Africa, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, China and other distant shores. She has a BFA from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, and has won several awards, including second place in the Colorado Watercolor Society Show and first place in watercolor in the Eight State Art Zone Show at the Jewish Community Center in Denver.
