Let’s say…you like beer. Or if you’re under 21…maybe you prefer something of the soda variety. Either way, everyone likes to keep those drinks cold, so why not get the job done with a set of custom-made koozies that you screen printed with your own two hands?
Stu and Nicky, a couple of Denver’s superlative screen printing prodigies, are going to take you through all the steps of learning how to screen print—from initial design to final product—in the contemporary comfort of Ink Lounge. You’ll love listening to your hosts teach you about this wildly artistic process as they help you transfer your design to a screen. Then before long, you’ll quickly become a koozie-making pro as you sip some suds and get to printing.
During this 2-hour screen printing experience, you will create six one-color koozies using your own artwork or by taking your pick among the countless designs in Stu and Nicky’s art books. All six of your koozies will have the same designs (one on the front and one on the back), but chances are the other attendees will be totally game to trade. Can you say “mix and match”?
Please note on 6/25 Yelp is providing complimentary beer for those of age.

Inkers who Drink
Stu and Nicky own Ink Lounge Creative, a creative studio where they teach illustration and screenprinting, among other things. The two have over 30 years combined experience in graphic design. A few years ago, they got tired of spending so much time at their computers and decided to get their hands dirty. They began offering screenprinting workshops, teaching kids and adults how to make t-shirts, beer coozies, Christmas ornaments -- you name it, they’ll teach you how to print it. “We want guests to relax, explore, experiment, have fun, get inky and leave with something they created by hand,” they say.
